Notions and snapshots that shape our day to day.

Ah, Summer! There is nothing like yellows, greens, whites, and a good geometric pattern to bring people together! This September 2012 wedding, designed by Melissa Barton from A Charleston Bride, could not have been lovelier. We loved creating the custom stationery for this Charleston affair at Lowndes Grove Plantation. This stationery suite has it all: folder save the date, formal invitation, rehearsal dinner invite, program, menu, place cards, custom map, and pattern. Thanks to Nadya for allowing us to design a theme, and carry it from start to finish—it is one of our favorite things to do. And thank you to Tim Willoughby for capturing it all with great photography!

We’ve been busy this season on a variety of projects with varying styles. Here is some work from the past couple of months:

Invitation and Welcome packet for a Hilton Head Bride. We loved the teal ink she incorporated into her set!

Save the Date Postcard for a bride from New York. Beautiful photography to work with!

Fun coasters for a reception!

Food signage for a very lovely recent wedding

This bride is all about some glam. We loved turning her style into a save the date!

The Charleston Trees are ever popular! We were happy to revisit this set for a recent bride.

It’s warm in Charleston, and we’ve just indulged in the first beach weather weekend of the season. The above real wedding, though it took place last November, reminds us of the beach: cool greens, beach grasses, and fresh photography by Marni Rothschild. We loved working with Ellen Robinson at WED who designed Liz and Brien’s lovely affair last fall. Their letter pressed invitation was simple but beautiful and set the stage for their lowcountry event. The table numbers opened to reveal the dinner menu, a creative idea we used first for Liz and Brien. We love the natural, yet very classic look of the entire wedding.

Happy warm weather and wedding season!

Congratulations to the newlyweds, Casey and Zach Tarrant, who got married this past April. We had the great privilege of doing the couple’s save the date, invitation, and day of stationery. Carrie Glasscock of A Charleston Bride thrilled us with her great ideas bringing bright color and lots of ribbon into the event design. It’s exciting to work with COLOR especially in the midst of the current “neutrals” trend. Though we tied ribbons on menus for a while here in the studio, it was totally worth it. We loved working with Casey and Zach and can’t wait to see more photos of the event!

Lauren and Aaron seemed to be way ahead of the trend last April when they used emerald (Pantone color of 2013) all throughout their wedding decor. We thought it only appropriate to feature this April as their color is becoming more and more popular. We felt privileged to be apart of this stunning affair by Ellen Robinson at WED, creating all of Lauren’s day of stationery shown above. Lauren’s menus, table numbers, and napkins were embellished by the lovely Elizabeth Porcher Jones calligraphy. Lauren’s white foiled menu on emerald paper stock complimented the beautiful table scape. Tim Willoughby captured the day with lovely photography. We hope you enjoy this day of stationery as we are in full swing for weddings this April as well!

Here’s a quick overview of some things we’ve been up to in the studio this week:

Lowcountry themed stationery set using papaya, navy, and champagne. We loved how cute and small these inserts are and how this bride incorporated brown bag envelopes into her thank you cards and save the date folder.

Gold Foiled Rehearsal Dinner invitation set. We love how the bright gold and antique gold compliment each other to make such a classic invitation!

“Cigars” station sign and table number for a wedding this weekend. We just love how fun these are! Can’t wait to see the pictures of these pieces in event action!

Have a great weekend everyone and happy spring!

We had a blast being a part of Courtney and Randy’s wedding celebration this past fall. Courtney, along with Melissa at A Charleston Bride, had wonderful day of stationery ideas that allowed us to be creative and truly contribute to the look of the event. Thanks to talented photographer Tim Willoughby, we have lovely photos to show how tags, signage, programs, and packets can help to make a celebration to remember!

We were happy to contribute to Jenny and Jason’s exciting wedding day this past fall. Jenny chose a lilac purple and this chain-link pattern at the beginning of her wedding planning stages. We kept this theme consistent from her save the date to her invitation and into her day of materials—menus, welcome box, and signage. As you can see from the above images by Melanie Nashan, Jenny, with Ellen Robinson at WED, used her color and pattern in pillows, napkins, cake, and other wedding details. This bride had a vision and it turned out spectacular. And check out that couple dancing. How fun are they?

Carly and Anthony had a beautiful wedding day this past fall. We loved creating her day of printed materials, especially in partnership with the ladies of WED. They creatively put station signs in large frames to create a complete look and highlight each area. We loved this touch! We are grateful to photographer Valerie Schooling for producing these lovely images of a sunny day worth remembering. Congrats, Carly and Anthony!
