A few years ago, I created the above map of St. John for the destination wedding of our friend Ellen Robinson of WED. Ever since, I’ve wanted to go to the island and experience everything Ellen and her husband love about that place. That time came this past February. All the Johnson side of my family packed up and flew to the islands for a week and a half of beach, snorkeling, pool time, and relaxation. As you can see, the kids loved the sun, crystal blue water, and spending time with their cousins. For me, the time off was much needed and much appreciated…it took place of that maternity leave with the above one-year-old I missed last spring! Now back from the beach and into spring wedding season!

Post-holiday, we realize how much we have to be thankful for. In our opinion, a thank-you note is never uncalled for and never too late. Here are some of our favorite accessories to writing the perfect thank-you:

1) Le Pen pens. Our favorite writing utensils available in all sorts of colors. Available at Artist and Craftsman on Calhoun.

2) Vintage Stamps. They simply make mail that much more exciting! We recently ordered some from Etsy shop Verde Studio.

3) Personalized Stationery by Studio R. Order some pretty papers and colored envelopes to ring in a new year!

4) Twine. Wrap up your card with a photo in colored twine. Available on Cannon Street at Mac & Murphy.

Today is our last day in the office until January, and we are dreaming of festive drinks and new patterns! We look forward to enjoying some down time and sweet celebration, while brainstorming new ideas for new paper goods in the new year!

We are honored to have taken part in so many fun parties the past couple weeks. Thanks to everyone who supplied great food, great drinks, and an opportunity to see great friends!

1) We loved seeing so many BEAUTIFUL dresses on display at the Bella Bridesmaid and Madison Row party at the Rebekah Jacob Gallery!

2) Enjoyed welcoming Gracious Brands to the corner on Cannon with Leigh Webber and Stems!

3) So many cool displays at the TEC party. Hard to capture the beauty of this greenery chandelier designed by Sarah York Grimshaw, but it was fabulous. And oh how we enjoyed Cru Catering…bananas foster pancakes! Need we say more?
