You’ve landed on Studio R for a reason, we are a unique stationery company. Our designers are all trained artists and our watercolor art is completely custom and created in-house. We pride ourselves on producing memorable wedding stationery that sets the tone for an even more memorable weekend.
our story
Studio R began when owner, Rachael Blessinger, moved to Charleston in 2004 to fulfill her dream of living near the beach. With previous corporate graphic design experience in New York City and San Francisco, Rachael seized the opportunity of a smaller city to hone in on her true love: stationery.
She quickly learned that Charleston was quite the wedding destination and there was a demand for truly unique wedding paper. Since opening in 2004, we’ve designed nearly 2,000 wedding suites, grown through 4 studio spaces, and been recognized in numerous wedding publications.
Meet the team
We are paper lovers with a keen eye for details. With fine art backgrounds, we are able to create just about anything. We love sketching wedding venues, watercolor painting florals, and perfecting the art of typography. We are creative perfectionists who appreciate a good challenge to keeps things fresh. In short, we spend our days bringing our clients ideas to life!
RACHAEL BLESSINGER - founder
Rachael puts the ‘R’ in Studio R! She hails from New York and is the brains behind our operation. As our team leader, Rachael wears many hats - from scheduling and billing to designing. Rachaels pends her past time walking the bridge or relaxing on the beach with her husband and 3 kids.
JANIE PRICE - lead designer
Janie is a multi-talented stationery designer and the queen of dog portraits! Originally from Atlanta, she’s been with Studio R for over 6 years. She keeps the studio rocking with her music, and on the weekends, you can find her on Shem Creek with a drink in hand.
ELENA GREGORY - designer
Elena comes to Charleston from UGA. This Southern Belle has an exceptional eye for detail, making her our production guru! Through antique shopping and trying out new restaurants, she’s loving the historic charm of her new city!
CHRISTA WALL - retail manager
Christa has been with Studio R for over 10 years and currently oversees our retail sister company! Outside of the studio, this fast talking Jersey girl is loving on her 2 young children and husband or cheering on the NY Giants.
